    The predecessor of the School of Urban Construction and Environment was the Department of Urban and Environmental Sciences, which was established in September 2006. It is a comprehensive engineering school with 5 teaching departments, including Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Engineering Cost Planning, Environmental Engineering, Geography and Urban-rural Planning. The School adheres to the implementation of the spirit of the  undergraduate educational work conference in the new era, the people-oriented principle, joint development of teaching and scientific research, and advocates the concept of "safety, environment-friendly, and low-carbon". In accordance with the principle of "Facing Dongguan, Serving Dongguan", we will strengthen the construction of engineering teaching and university-enterprise educational cooperation, promote the concept of open-university with distinctive features, cultivate outstanding applied talents, and improve the School level.
