    The School of Marxism comprehensively implements the Party's educational policy and the fundamental task of fostering morality and cultivation, and undertakes the teaching of ideological and political theory along with military theory for the University. There are five teaching and research offices in the School, offering 6 compulsory courses such as "The Basic Principles of Marxism", "Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics", "Situation and Policy", "Ideology, Morality and Law", "Outline of Modern Chinese History", "Military Theory", and more than 20 elective courses such as "Sinicization of Marxism and Mission  of Youthful students". The course of "Ideology, Morality and Law" was recognized as the provincial first-class undergraduate course by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province in 2020.
